https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nvk8V_yfR9c is a great starting point. It goes over basic hotkeys you use often in 3d modelling, and teaches good technique concerning how to make stuff look like how you want it to look. I still use the rounded cubes technique he talks about in the video
