what the author wrote about kenyan english education was really relatable; they basically teach the same stuff in china. not only that, even in ap lang/lit i was taught to follow a precise "robot-like" structure

English is my first language, and while I avoid social media like the plague it is, I'm still terrified of getting AI-flagged because baby me learned to write academically first -- I didn't pick up story dialogue until much later, and even then, I write more like an essay or research paper than a fanfic or gods forbid, Tumblr blogger.

So, I relate to the "oh, great, guess only American colloquialisms are validly human", since all the ChatGPT tells are also just...things you're taught to do in academic writing, because they work. The Rule of Three has been well-established since practically the earliest written stories we have.

Also, plenty of autistic people (especially 2e folks like myself) use "wow words" because we've learned we need to be precise in order to be understood, or find precision in itself comforting because we're so used to being misinterpreted or ignored on grounds of tone or other people communicating in ways we find unclear and confusing.
i def need some murder cw though...
afaik, your site doesnt have anything pertaining to that so id say probly not do it/ignore it. ruminating on that too much is gonna be annoying in the long run
