Further: You're not to get unicode in a usual TTY. It's not an OpenBSD thing, it's a TTY terminal emulator and bitmap font thing. See https://askubuntu.com/a/23614 for some discussion of the issue.
Ah I love the TTY. Fun to use, but unfortunately what stops me from permanently switching to it is my reliance on some software that require graphical sessions. Not a huge issue, though. I do use the commandline nearly constantly because of its convenience.
