>koilwood I don't know what "Christianity" means in your mind, but in my mind it is the mixture of 1. Hagia Sophia 2. St. Catherine monastry 3. Jerusalem. But in general I usually mean Christianity as a Hellenistic philosophy (The New Testament is written in Koine Greek), and in fact I'm really nothing against Christianity in that sense.

Reading those like Simone Weil, Tolstoy and other "outsider Christians" feels much more in line with a revolutionary Christianity, truly linking itself to the sacred heart of Christ. I hope I am not projecting my own perspectives here, I wished to share my thoughts with you as someone who has a somewhat similar view regarding the allure of the religion despite the ultimate rejection of it - koil (2)

# Why I'm Not A Christian - I have only just discovered your website and I am aware this is an older entry, but I have to agree with your views in this regard. Christ is the ultimate symbol of revelation for me but there are parts of the Christian body which feel antithetical, especially the upholding of the Old Testament. I am as well, deeply tempted by the anchor of the church. (1)

> (A weird dialectic) I understand where you're coming from, and I agree with some of your viewpoint, but not all of it. I don't have a clear understanding of who you are, or where you are in life: because of that, I can't gauge if this is an appropriate conversation to have with you. We can wax poetic any time, but some things are best left to experience.
