I know I'm not very active on here, but it seems like Neocities is kind of dead.

I don't get that feeling. I follow plenty of active people and my site still seems to get a steady stream of visitors.

Maybe I just need to follow some more. I am following quite a few, but only see a batch of strong users and the rest never update.

Does anyone have a better method of updating their blog/journal without editing the html file and uploading it to neocities? I really wish neocities allowed php so I can use a basic news management system like cutnews or something - that's what I always used to use and it was so nice being able to login in, type a post and then it posts to the site without manually editing the html.

You could use a static site generator and then upload your files using https://neocities.org/api that’s what I was doing for the longest time
Laptop completely crapped out this morning. Didn't expect to drop $400 today, but we are back in business with a new one, now. When it rains, it pours!

Well, things are off to a bumpy start. Got a Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 and it's doing a lot of freezing and crashing so far. I've uninstalled some extensions and it seems to have helped a bit. We will see. Today has been a headache in general. Haha
