i followed a lot of people (mainly artists) on twitter, and it seems no one from there still actively maintains a website. with exception to those that are like, mainly web developers ofc. wonder why that is, lack of engagement or too much effort or somethn?

im guessing because its harder to share stuff with a website. one of the nice things about social media is if you like a post you can retweet it or put it on your instagram story. but with a website you can't really do that. you can post a link to a page, but i found people don't really click that.

minor update. meta tags should be valid now, and some links were updated since i have supporter now
i didnt like making my website modern/minimalist cuz i was afraid people wouldnt like me, but i realized now my fear was kinda unfounded...

apparently i had the incorrect html for the meta tag an neocities wasn't picking it up. awkward on my part...but kyle drake said he'd widen the detection

also makes me wonder, how did discord correctly embed my website if i didnt even follow the spec? lol

ive gotten a click about every 2 days from google, and none of them are specifically looking for me. the most popular ones are "fake discord maker" and "wii menu website". it just feels weird im unintentionally starting to make it onto google like that...

google search console: https://search.google.com/search-console/about. there's a bit of setup to verify your website though

google doesn't index my site except for the guestbook for some reason, but mine appeared on bing once and only once when someone searched "where is the real wii song on spotify"

I have two WiiRing members running into to csp issues with the webring and I haven't found a solution yet >_< idk why some neocities sites are having the error while others aren't
wiichicken it uses fetch, so likely not
jeith wow that sounds like a pain. the only thing i can think of is turning wiiring into an iframe or doing something weird like loading members via another script tag
thanks a ton, you helped me find a solution. i'll be posting it on my site later, but i created a version of the webring with an iframe like you said: https://jeith.com/wii-webring.html?site=https://dabric.xyz&variant=standard & links have target="_parent" so it functions like a webring when in a iframe
