You would think that with all the automation and luxury provided by technology, we wouldn't have to work as much and instead focus on leisure, spiritual pursuits, and personal development. Instead we work just as much, but increasingly more pointless jobs. Very sad!

i love neocities so much it's really made my life so much better. keeping my diary on here has made my relationships meet a whole new level i wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity for. i think this platform has a lot to offer but it's lack of features in the dashboard are really holding it back. i know some people feel because it's websites it shouldn't matter, but it has the potential to bring people together

been thinking about giving the site an adult tag but it feels so broad. im not a site that necessarily intends to make adult content but i am an adult living an adult life, that isn't usually expressed in an explicit way either but isn't intended for young people eitherway. the adult tag algorithm is porn centered (thts fine). trusting the personal responsibility of kids is scary

as a kid that got groomed online i think as adults we hold a responsibility to keep kids safe. kids end up in all kinds of crazy places off and online. sometimes you just have to watch them make a bad decision and be there when they need help figuring it out

all of this to say my site isn't intended for kids, but until i figure out a way to make that clear it's going to stay the way it is and that's my choice on putting my self expression first and foremost

+ i'd prefer if sites that sexualize kids in anyway don't interact with me that content is very upsetting to me and i still struggle with that experience daily
