Made a printing frame to help with making cyanotypes, as well as to practice my technical skills. The new varnish makes a big difference, I think.
Extended options for formulating oil varnishes, and improvements to my articles on lubricating greases.
Updates for my casein and gelatine glues, and significant improvements for my soap-making articles.
Yes! My website is sort of a work-in-progress, but once I've finished refining the various formulas/devices/methods/etc. that I've developed here (or will develop shortly), I intend to write a series of books on them. Probably within the next five years or so; it's a long-term goal.
Made some modifications to shellac to improve its brushing qualities. The resulting varnish is very versatile and easy to make, and I'd honestly recommend trying it out if you do any sort of woodworking.
Significantly improved formulas for rosin glue, paste wax, and my aluminum-zinc alloys.
Using self-adhesive felt in my camera and printing frame bothered me, so I ended up going down another adhesives rabbit-hole by experimenting with starch pastes. Sort of the direct opposite of protein glues, which is neat.
