You've produced a great blog post & artwork! I just finished reading the book last week :) It was lucky to find it while searching for a solarpunk read. One thing I liked was how it involves mythology. I think mythology would play a central role in a culture which has emerged from near devastation of the natural world and consciously decided to live respecting it, just like it plays role in our destruction of it
