omg i just looked this up and wth? i dont know, maybe this is a 'me' thing but i like to have to 'dig' for my information. theoretically this should make knowledge more accessible for people but i have a feeling it won't....

omg i've been avoiding tshd cause i know it'll hit me like a truck, but anyway i lowkey agree... i was thinking abt that with jjk, i can't deny the fact that i love it but it really just follows the default premise of: normal person -> somehow gets powers -> fights big bad guy -> peace yay. some do it better than others but idk. i'll still eat it up, i'm easily entertained LMFAOO

to be fair, i got into anime during lockdown (well, i technically got into it when i was like 3 but that's another story), so part of it is just that while then i watched like 6 episodes a day, now dedicating my time to the same storyline just feels tedious tshd is amazing, but i regret watching it because now i have to wait like two years for the next season haha

having said that, most of my favourite anime/manga are still shounen (hxh, jjk, mha), so it might just be general genre fatigue.

ahh i get it, that's fair. i was introducted to animanga during lockdown n binge watched the fuuuck out of everything. i'm probs in the same boat w/ the genre fatigue. i started w/ aot and i feel like i've been chasing the same feeling i got when watching the finale + that's part of the reason why i don't wanna start watching tshd haha, i might read it but idk! we'll see ^^

update log: some of my feelings toward the term 'PoC' (spoiler alert: they aren't exactly positive) This is something I've been thinking basically my whole life, although I was reminded of it by a recent SubwayTakes episode

i’m filipino and have had similar thoughts abt it growing up. connotations r important, “coloured” is obvs seen much more negatively because of its use historically. personally i’ve never really minded being referred to as a “poc”, but in the back of my mind i’ll always dislike how it can imply that being white is the norm…

ran out of characters — at least it’s a more sensitive approach to the matter?? but i still see it as form of othering. idk it’s an iffy topic, there’s so many things to consider outside of its use linguistically… referring to myself, i usually just say my ethnicity/nationality now

yeah, that's just my core issue towards it - even when i look up alternative terms to it they all just have a similar issue. Although I understand that it's important to highlight the struggles and oppression that uhh... people of colour face, there's just something that feels... off? At the same time, by the fact that I used it up there, you can kind of tell its necessary...

yuuup, i get u. it's quite upsetting how they exist for a reason :( i wish there was a perfect umbrella term, but it'd be hard to find one that 'feels right' with how society operates

update log: i was being stalked by a fly for a hot minute, but I managed to escape. Or maybe it would be more accurate to say that the fly escaped. Also I've been listening to the soundtrack of The Social Network recently, and it's honestly insane how much a good soundtrack can do for an already good film.
Straight up cheesing over here,, blushing even. So happy you have a button now!
i'm happy about it too! (although it may have come to my attention that i have a procrastination problem...)
