Hey, I dropped you an email. You'd be the third person to not reply - I'm getting nervous that tutanota allow me to register an email with a username of invalid length. Reply back with anything really, just so I know what's the situation mysides.
@godcock I received your lovely email and kept getting timeout errors when trying to reply D: . gimme a bit of time while i switch providers
I hear you. As of this morning, it seems like cockmail servers are down right now, so I can't see your email just yet. I should really consider a more reliable email provider. In any case, I haven't used tutanota myself so I can't say for suer what's going on your end.
Thank you both. Tuta is reliable enough, even though they're small, throughout the years they've been up over 95%. Cocklee, on the other hand, is the perptually down.
It's nice to meet another veteran from YouTube's golden era (i.e. 2000s). What you say about the site is exactly correct: YouTube was at its best when monetization was either minimal or entirely absent, when there was almost no censorship aside from prohibiting pornographic material, when the site's design was still sensible, when copyright enforcement was lax and/or easily circumvented, ...
... and when it was dominated by the uploads and activity of its everyday users rather than corporations and large, established channels. It was better then because it was freer, had more diversity of content, and was more authentic. YouTube today is far too sanitized and boring.
It's spellt 'savvy', not 'savy'.
I'll correct it. Thanks for the input.
