I just finished watching the movie Color Out of Space, which I had discovered from your 08/06/2025 blog post. I had read the story it's based upon (Colour Out of Space, with the funny 'u') earlier this year, but I had not realized a movie was made based on it. Turned out to be a very good movie, my only complaint is with the much faster pace compared to the s. story.

Omg!! Yeah, I thought it was a little fast-paced too, but was surprisingly faithful to the original story. (Color Out of Space is my favorite out of all of H.P. Lovecraft's story, so I was super excited when it was announced.) I heard that the same director will do more adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft stories, so I hope they eventually do the one of Yig. But I think the next one will be the Dunwich Horror!
I'll have to keep my eye out for future movies, I wonder why more movies have not been made based on Lovecraft's work. I'd hope to see an adaptation of either 'The Dream Quest for Unknown Kadath' or 'At the Mountains of Madness'. But I had not heard of 'The Curse of Yig' — it is not among the collection in the book I have, fortunatly most all of his stories are easily accesible online, so I may give it a read.
