This time last week (at around this time, it's almost 12 am, by the way...) the temperature was a balmy 16 - 20 degrees C, give or take a couple of degrees, but no higher than 20... today, it's 6 degrees C, so no wonder why my arthritis is really acting up. It's not just in my left knee, either, or the muscle pain I get in my upper right leg, but my lower back, my elbows, shoulders, neck, ankles...

I suspect that Max is responsible in part for my elbows because of when we go out for walks. But it shows just how a drop in about 10 degrees can really effect things.

Joy oh joy - it's great to have back ache because of lower temperatures...
I often wonder if the creation of art and literature these days is /all/ about minority political agendas since fantasy and sci-fi writing can't be sci-fi and fantasy writing any more, specialist art supplies like markers are arranged into skin tones instead of colour families, etc.....

It's the imposition of politics and people being pushed into writing/painting certain things instead of just doing what they want and which makes the creator happy is what bothers me.

Obligatory remark about how you're *cist and literally Hitler because you want to just enjoy art that isn't just a badly masqueraded asinine political agenda with a cast that is a racial/sexual bingo card.

Aye, but I don't have plans to brainwash people into helping me murder people on an industrialised scale. I just find it irritating when a company makes a lot of sets for colours, but the main shop that sells them in my country only stock the ones for skintones, manga, anime, etc. and not nature/landscape stuff which is what I create.

And now, to see if Tesco will deliver... Probably not...
One of our blinds took a nose dive today and ripped off its fittings, so it can't be put back up. Not surprised, though because it's the third time its fallen down this year. Although I prefer them to curtains, they are more expensive to replace and I don't know if the fittings that are up now will be compatible with a new one, so it's probably just easier to get curtains up instead.
You can never get any peace around here.
Today, Max had his vaccinations. Wasn't easy going to the vets, given what's happened over the past few years, but it's over with now and he's fine. Spent the rest of the day doing some artwork. I am doing another Bag End, but it will be finished tomorrow, as I can't really see the markers properly right now as it's dark!
Got some new art stuff from the works (hopefully!) arriving tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it because I need some new supplies, especially acrylic paints, canvas pads, brushes and watercolour paper. They aren't particularly exciting, (in terms of quality) but I need to replenish them. Not sure what to do with the oil paints I have - I've never really got into the medium because it takes a long time to dry and I -

don't have the space to store them as they dry.

One day soon, my desk, art supplies, crafting supplies and cross stitch/sewing supplies will /actually/ be organised.

Series 2 of Channel 5's All Creatures started airing this week. Glad it's back, but I can't help but feel that some of the drama and conflict between James and the Aldersons is forced... It's not like that in the books, and as the books are semi autobiographical, I feel that the Channel 5 series doesn't represent it close enough. It's not as respectful as it could be towards the real people and their families that

depicted. I don't think that it will ever beat the books, or the BBC's series.
