Pyometras are awful. We lost our Misty to that - she was ill for about a month after her surgery and this was after she'd stayed in the vets for several weeks. I hope your dog is feeling better and pups aside, it's not worth the risk if you aren't going to breed from your dog (the people we got her from bred from her), or after they've retired from breeding.
much agree. sorry to hear about Misty :( that some real suckage what happened. if i get a intact female dog in the future she will be spayed to prevent this crud from happening. Pixies fully healed and has been quite some time since this all happened. i got very lucky i didnt lose her
This is something I haven’t heard if. Lucy is my first dog since childhood but she has been desexed. This sounds terrible. Hope Pixie is getting better
to everyone that's concerned. this happened a while back. She’s completely recovered from the pyrometa and surgery and is doing well :D ;;; only made the page to hopefully inform people of pyro and maybe enourage them to spay instead of whoopdedoo happenings
