Thanks! Let me know if you want to share buttons to mutual link our pages. Also, I need playtesters for MAGIC WORDS, so if you play it, let me know how it goes.
My gf is a huge Castlevania fan but has some similar hangups with Circle of the Moon, especially with the awkward last third difficulty spike and grind ahaha. I just got the Advance collection recently so I'll end up playing soon too
Enjoy! The switch release doesn't quite fix a ton of the inherent issues but it certainly makes it a bit palatable.
i don't think word count is a problem at all! your reviews are great, no matter how long or short they are ^_^
talk as much as you want, it's your website, and a lot of these games are old and somewhat obscure nowadays so it's nice to see them get the attention
i think being thorough is pretty much always a positive! if you're worried about length, maybe you could keep an eye out for any redundant points, but i don't think you've had that problem. i love your reviews so longer and more in depth is what i wanna see 🙌
Very in-depth is something I very much appreciate honestly! Extensive analysis is just a joy when the writer has so much to say about different aspects that interest them
I was having some odd (let's say, spooky) issues where the review was coming up with pieces from my E.T review - it should be displaying the correct review now, but let me know if anything looks odd!
It's good practice to not type your full URL while linking to a page within your site. That being said, Neocities redirects your old domain to your current one :)
Is there a notable reason why using the full URL is a bad idea? I've just done it out of habit + I'm not super well versed in coding or anything. But otherwise, if I switch over and go through the process of having a custom domain, it should all just work?
The reason why you should type «/page.html» or similar instead of «domain.com/page.html» is precisely because sometimes sites go through domain changes. I just checked with my own website, and the pages still get linked correctly.
The reason why my old URL links to my current domain is because Neocities has that feature, a lot of webhosts don't.
