Thanks everyone for 300,000 views (even if it's just bots or whatever). I really do want to regularly update my site again but I've been so busy with a new job and a class for the last few months, and now I'm dealing with a big move! I want to have smaller more frequent updates starting later this year... we'll see if I can keep to that!

I got a spam email promoting an AI code editor prioritized just for Neocities. This wasn't actually to my Neocities account's email address, so no data privacy concerns, but there are folks out there scraping for Neocities sites and contact info so they can push their sludge at you. So watch out i guess.

Today is my last day of work at my web dev job. I'm moving onto more exciting things, and this also means that I should be able to find more joy in personal web dev again since I'm not doing it all day.

This was a really interesting post. I occasionally read articles in Lynx so the display windows look similar. I want to check Gopher and Gemini out sometime.

update: I have browsed gopher on lynx and I downloaded Kristall and have it up and running. It's quite fun!

The code I used to make my "Which Accordion Are You?" was written to be a freely usable quiz library for Neocities/Indie Web sites, but I've never actually promoted it or wrote documentation for it. It involves writing a lot of JSON data in a script block and you also need to write event handlers right now though. My goal for 2025 is to make it super easy to use and make a page showing others how to use it!

you are SO right when you said that kids will find a way to play house in a game. it's so frustrating when you have a bog-standard linear formula in a game that should be big and expansive. I should do a blog entry on this, seems i have a lot to say :P

Their feature list didn't impress me. Automated deployments? Girl i already do that. Spot issues before they're done? Yeah I also do that without AI (and yes I HAVE overengineered my site why do you ask)
someone on tumblr was talking about responding to those kind of emails with goatse. probably no one would see it, but if someone does it would deal immediate psychic damage XD
