constantly seeking validation on my hobbies, i need to work on this, not needing validation and compliments to enjoy my hobbies, wether it be coding, photography, art, writing etc, I need to learn to just enjoy what I create and not base its value on others enjoyment of it

i think there's so much probaganda that art has to be laborous and suffering and it makes us trivialize the natural flow of creativity, as if civilizations haven't been built upon this flow. most artists i enjoy are past their "prime" in popularity and making what i believe is their best work because it's striking in it's authenticity

i feel that. i catch myself making stuff so often with the idea in my mind that it will positively impact peoples image of me but that just completely blocks my flow of creativity. its hard to just make stuff for myself then choose to share it afterwards if i want to
