the crushing realization that im leaving the farm ive grown up on for 23 years. through teary eyes I keep wondering who will say hello to the trees every spring and say goodbye every fall, who will walk the old paths around the property and admire the treeline that if you squint just enough looks like giants on the horizon, who will sniff the lilacs every summer and the poppies every october, i hope someone does.
