I watched Solo Mio tonight and I really enjoyed it. I knew very little and was trusting very strong reviews from co-workers. It was very cathartic, and I found a lot of value in it at this stage of my life.
interesting, hmm I wouldn't have thought about that. I know it's primarily a christian studio and several of the actors (from what I've ben told) have a connection to the religion, but I really don't think it was preachy at all. Ironically, it I thought it showed examples of marriges most would consider toxic and emphasized the positives of those (multiple divorces, high levels of anger in them).
As someone who was raised christian and now considers myself agnostic if not spiritual, I think the religous undertones were very mild at most along with being nuanced and leading to thoughtful discussions with everyone I know who's seen it.
I moved the link to "The Lost Girls of Panama" to my wiki page and taken it off my main blog page. I didn't really have enough to write about it myself and most of what was on the blog post for it was a direct excerpt from what I linked to anyway.
I didn't know this book even existed until a few days ago, but is the name of your site inspired by the children's book "The Secret Garden"? It might not be, it's just a coincidence that I discovered both your site and it for the first time within a few days of each other.
Is it a super religious movie? I love Kevin James but I was worried it would be cheesy and preachy.
