i think its district specific but also the place i live in is the worst little exurb on the planet so i *have* to drive to go anywhere commerce, i love america and its non walkable infrastructure!!
It was like that when I was a junior in high school 11 years ago. You just had to pass the class and we used golf karts to learn how to drive lol! Most school districts are like this.

dawg my school doesn't even HAVE regular driver's ed AND I HAVE A CAR this country is ridiculous
