hi caro, i saw your message and raced to give you an answer. you must get your hands on a sample of filippo sorcinelli's notre dame 15.4.2019; the perfumer is the papal tailor and has an entire separate series, with fantastic bottles, inspired by many iconic churches.

also you might like to smell jovoy paris' la liturgie des heures, which smells terrifically like a very old church but not much like one that's burnt down. perhaps consider investigating oriza l. legrand's relique d'amour, also very cathedral-esque. its hard to judge a stranger's nose, so please let me know what you think of any of these!
i think your advice is going to become a problem for my bank account because they sound spot on. Jovoy and Oriza L Legrand both have a shop in my city and I think I found a spot where I could find the Filippo Sorcellini.
