I also found, at long last, the UF author whose book I really hated because it was really misogynistic and threw hatred towards Wicca and paganism. According to Fantastic Fiction, he's only had two books published in the UF genre. I wonder why?

Fortunately, I didn't buy the book, as it was from the library and I can now apologise to another UF author for getting confused and thinking it was him.

Today, I am looking for the Otherworld book covers. Trying to find the nice ones which the UK editions were originally published in appears to be impossible. Might have to scan them myself. (When Twilight was made into a film, they were were reprinted with this awful cover that made them look like similar books to Twilight and gosh they were awful... The original UK ones were much nicer.)
Here's a contrast - 25 years ago, a tween/teen range fiction book would have cost between £2.99 - £4.99, depending on the length of it. Shorter books were cheaper. It was possible for kids to buy books with their pocket money, even if they had to save up for the more expensive ones. Now, similar books cost £9.99 or more, a price which even adults baulk at.

One other thing I've noticed is how sellers on Amazon vastly over price books now (going over the rrp for in print books.)

One thing which I don't like about Kelley Armstrong's e-books is that they are usually made up of short stories and novellas which are published several times in different formats. It's hard to know if you've got everything and then find that you've ended up buying it twice. (and I hate reading on screen, anyway...)

Don't know why they don't just simplify things and publish them in one print book.

The worst happens to be with the YA books because most of them could have been published as a single standalone, given the length of them.

It's been really cold here for the past couple of days (and yesterday it was raining) so my stomach is complaining about it. It's always been prone to getting 'cold' in it...

Warm drinks and wear more layers or warmer clothes? Also, definitely keep your feet warm with socks+slippers+both, IBS tends to be triggered by cold feet and you’ll feel that pain in your gut.

It doesn't really matter what you do because it is that cold. Anything temperature that is 5oC or lower just cuts through what you wear.

A useful site, this! I hardly ever find anything relevant when I search neocities using tags, etc. Thanks for making it.
