Even generalizing the users of Lolcow is a bit messed up to me, often times the anonymous nature brings anyone and everyone, so assuming that each person who interacts with the website is unsavory is very odd. This is especially true considering most of the people upset about it are outright admitting that they read it... Very peculiar
I have been researching the psychology behind users of these drama-centric websites often recently, because dissecting the nature of a queer person with internalized hate is fun, it also brings a lot of questions to myself about what I do on the internet and how it can affect my view on myself, those around me, etc etc.
I can talk more about it in my blog, but I love analyzing internet culture a lot ^^, so I often read social media, both things like twitter & lolcow alike.
