oh, Smiling Friends doesn't make me smile. Like I've watched a bunch of compilations of it and it's not really funny. But it's also not really uh... bad, I think it's an ok show. I liked the bit where Bill Nye gets electrocuted, that was cool. And I did appreciate a bit where a bookshelf has The God Delusion and all the books surrounding it are science books for children. And Cosmos. That's like something I'd write.

I don't know why we can't have beautiful things in the world anymore. Cars look attrocious, remakes look abhorrent, architecture is souless. Just like you said, these game companies spend more than a third world's GDP with all of this bleeding edge hardware and they barely look any better than 7th game consoles (It's arguable that they look worse in some ways).

I've played it on both MSX and Famicom. Got cooked both times! And yes a lot of these old computers look like PHAT KEYBOARDS; a horizontal motherboard is under the keys and there are ports all along the sides/back. In America the C64, Amiga, TI-99/4A, Tandy Color, etc.
