Oh boy, I find it quite ironic when a museum that has a huge collection of artefacts from an ancient civilisation famous for its writing cannot get grammar and spelling right or consistent on it webpage that's about some of said artefacts.
Every time I come across some obscure mythology that I've never heard of before, the more I find that I've read it or come across the imagery in Tolkien.

Was reading a review of the new Dune film on the BBC website. For once, a sci-fi film gets a good review. Problem? The reviewer has a go at people watching it on TV or computer/tablet. Really? We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and this guy moans about that? I'm sure that most people would like to see it at the cinema, but I'd rather people be safe. That's more important right now rather then how you choose to

ive always loved dune and been excited to see the new one and i have hbomax but my bf refuses to see it at home and wants to go to theaters, im like really?

Didn't expect them to be absolutely brilliant, but I would have expected more for my money than what I got regarding those exercise books. I expected them to be more like those you got in school in the 80's and 90's and be double the thickness that they are. 24 sheets of paper is a rip off. There are 5 of them, but I would have expected something more substantial since books we were given then were much thicker.

I gave them a bad review on the website. A 10 pack of a similar product costs £7.99, these cost £4.99, with only a quarter of the amount of paper...

The website I was going to get some things from last week keeps spamming me when I browse their website. I'll buy the products that I want elsewhere...
I've seen people on youtube complain that the Winsor and Newton watercolours aren't pigmented enough - I quite like the muted, pale colours - they are what a watercolour is supposed to be. If you do landscapes, muted, pale colours are what you want in the painting. In Animals of Farthing Wood, Watership Down (the film and ITV series), traditional Disney movies and cartoons like David the Gnome and Prince Valiant, the

backgrounds are often muted and pale. The muted and pale look is often seen in Edith Holden's work, Field Guide art, etc, so it's the look that I would want when trying to do realistic landscapes and paintings. If you want that effect with other brands, you'd have to water it down a great deal, and need a lot of space to do so. They are also designed to be used in the field, so muted, pale colours are better as you'd

need to carry a lot of water with you to get them pale enough. I don't think people consider how other people use the different watercolour brands, the style of paintings that other people do, or how they use them.

Finally got around to ordering the exercise books that I want to make into a writing journal for next year.

Ah Christmas, that time of the year when all companies put pressure on you to buy tons and tons of stuff that you can't afford (and most likely, don't even need), and sink you into more debt than you was previously.
