Hey, I appreciate the follow! I've been really grappling with impostor syndrome myself. I somehow act surprised that I'm not the only one. I wish you luck on your artistic journey, and I know encouraging words don't necessarily beat the impostor syndrome, but I really enjoy how you draw your characters, and the color + lighting on your log post is masterful.

follow up on this: https://rareoarfishsightings.neocities.org/log#dunningkruegermediocrity apparently the most commonly seen dunning krueger graph is actually incorrect and not what was used in the original study (see: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_Effect.svg) so i was in fact just abritarily rating myself . hooray

i'm not making any promises, but i decided that i'll probably keep the feed for now . i forgot that a part of neocities is also using these communication features more humanely; timeframes, likes and comments have literally no affect on the algorithm here so i really shouldn't care lol .

i have been considering disabling site profile comments because i feel like it kind of destroys the purpose of this site, which was to limit direct communication while still sharing my work and whatnot, along with getting away from social media features. nothing against anyone, i genuinely appreciate all the nice things people have said to me, but i might just be too introverted >_>

perhaps this is hypocritical because i've left a couple of comments and likes on peoples' pages, i guess it just feels different for me because i'm so overly responsive to that stuff lol .

that definitely makes sense ! i do feel like i've started checking very regularly like i do with social media n i'm not sure how i feel about it... i love getting to interact w people who like my page, but it also feels a little counterproductive to the idea of neocities
