Part of me wants to add a cooking section to my site but then I would have to also have to learn how to take pictures. Food photography is almost its own art.
I've been thinking of doing almost the same thing! I hadn't actually considered how tricky it'd be to get a good picture of a dish, especially because I don't have a decent camera lying around. There's probably a ton that goes into such an image
My guess is that properly plating the food and using the correct lighting would go a long way. And using photo filters you can probably get away with a phone camera. Real cameras are much harder to use correctly than software cameras. But yeah, you at least have to be ready for your photo to not come out how you expect.
That is probably the case yea. I was thinking of perhaps taking the pictures outdoors, as I don't think I'll ever get good lighting inside. It could also be an opportunity to learn how to touch up photos in an editor to make them more presentable!
