I’m a day late but happy pride month guys (´ω｀) !! I think I have talked about this before, but one of the key themes I want to convey with my writing is “true identity”. Identity and the human condition are things that have intrigued me for as long as I can remember. I think that having an unique, unadulterated identity is important, and I think everyone should be free to be their authentic self no matter what.

@ Onlytrichromatic After seeing how L*bubu-ism took over so many peoples’ hearts and minds last year I’m convinced they’re some kind of fetich imbued with dark powers. I’m only half-kidding of course but I feel like they really unlocked a ravenous and insatiable side in otherwise sensible people… Maybe Karl Marx was right after all.

I thought it would be interesting if a real person had made an appearance in the story, especially a person who is of great significance to Hong… But honestly I was so worried about portraying Tim wrongly or inaccurately or inadvertently tarnishing his legacy that I wasn’t sure what to do with him in the story. He’ll be back eventually, though.

New book cover because the old one was lame and I hated being forced to look at it every time I uploaded a new chapter lol. Also wanted an excuse to draw Hong in BTSSB even though I don't think they'd enjoy wearing frilly dresses (and at no point in the novel do they wear frilly dresses)... Have finally made a more succinct page for commission information. Also, Neocities' server cache is freaking out and keeps showing the old version of my site when I try to update ... Frustrating but I think it's only looking weird on my end. I had a friend check and my site appeared normally on their browser. I know others are experiencing the same issue, how frustrating.

LSD isn’t inherently a “gay story” or whatever but Hong’s gender-nonconformity is something that’s quite essential to the plot. Despite the struggles they may face due to their identity, they still have the courage to live authentically and express their inner self. I wish for a world where everyone is able to live authentically and with pride year-long, not just in June.
