Meeting with director and curator of a local museum tomorrow hashtag nervous.. No clue if anything will come of this meeting since I'm not actively looking to have any pieces displayed but it will be nice to network. I hope to get my art displayed eventually, when I am ready (˶ ´ ∇ ˋ ˶)

I did more paintings but there was one I did of Anton that turned out so painfully mediocre that I tore it into little pieces and threw it in a trash can. I wish I could draw him more, but the truth is is that he’s more fun to write about. Drawing him isn’t exciting because he doesn’t do cool stuff or wear cute clothes like Hong does.

I do want to draw him more, for like the handful of Anton fans out there. I’ve got to put my thinking cap on and think of interesting things I could draw him doing besides just reading a book or bullying Hong.

@ Onlytrichromatic you get it! But honestly I feel self-conscious sometimes since I tend to only draw Hong, and my favorite art pieces are all drawings of them. Then again they are the main character of their universe, so I guess it makes sense? I could draw other stuff if I really wanted to, but I don’t want to most of the time

The full thing will go on my site eventually… Gonna do some more paintings and then upload them here in bulk. Recently I’ve really taken to traditional art because I feel like in a lot of ways it can be more versatile and expressive than digital art funnily enough.

@ Joroki I have genuinely thought about making a tarot deck featuring my characters since each of them are assigned to a card from the major arcana. It would take a lot of work but it’s still something I’d like to do when I have the time to!

YAYYY I just finally got all caught up! These last few chapters have been SOO GOOD AND EXCITING!! DRAGON!! AHH!! This latest one made me sooo hungry, and I love the drama between Anton and Catherine! It's fun to see him be a little messy for once xD GREAT WORK!!!

New stuff soon probably, taking a break from being online and spending some vacation time with my boyfriend helped get the creative juices flowing a bit I think. My parents also got me this really neat portable watercolors set that fits in my purse… I can’t wait to use it

Technically there isn't anything stopping me from writing a proposal and presenting my art in front of the museum board, but I am still scared of rejection and criticism. I think maybe getting to know the director will help me feel less anxious when that time comes? I'm rambling at this point lol
I may never feel truly "ready" and in that case if it's been a certain amount of time and my paintings and drawings are just piling up with nowhere to go I will bite the bullet and do everything trembling scared.

@ Faoggot several of my artist friends have had their art in that same museum and some smaller galleries and they said I’d have a strong chance of having my art displayed somewhere as well if I got over my crippling shyness and self-doubt. Perhaps soon it will become a reality.
