the inklings aren't conciously deciding to be evil, but they're still being evil. they're genociding salmonids and octarians, the only reason octarians are welcome in inkling society is because the inklings are too busy doing ritual self harm to even notice them, with splatoon 3's solo mode theyre probably gonna start committing a third genocide, character limit :(

i think that like, story mode octolings dont literally die when i splat them, theyre probably connected to a far away respawn point? i dunno, but with the other octarians i dont think that applies so yeah

yeah the octarians and inklings are both functionally immortal which makes it really difficult to actually genocide them but the inklings are nonetheless trying their hardest

yeah, that's what im frustrated about. the dock you have to write to nintendo for a replacement and its a whole issue and UGH
