Alright, listen. I know this is a bit random and unknown but hear me out. APNG. Animated PNG. You can animate your PNG. I don't care that it's weird and confusing it's WEBP but weird and confusing and that's what I want. plus it souns wayyy cooler gonna be honest

APNG's are great because you can render in the alpha channel, which you cannot with .gifs. I use them exclusively in babelofdreams.neocities.org for z-indexing animated stuff with Alpha channel. It's also a lot older a format than I initially thought. Created in the early 2000s by Mozilla, and was considered dead because the PNG group rejected it (those bastards).
How do you actukaually make thwm, though? Aren't they much bigger than gif, as well?Most softwaur i know of do dont use them
