Does anybody know how to open AIM Instant Messenger buddy icons (.aim links) to save them as images on modern Windows versions? I'm stuck using Windows for this because it requires Quicktime (which still works btdubstep) and the launcher is an EXE. I am trying to get goodies off of the Meteora enhanced CD.

Okay, I guess I'm single driving Linux Mint, because I had to reinstall in order to fix a driver problem. In repartitioning the drives while doing that, I broke my Windows dual boot. I attempted to recover said, and succeeded in breaking...everything. Clip Studio Paint doesn't work in WINE and I've never gotten a VM working, but I think I'm just going to put my Windows programs on the other / work and school laptop.
My Mint boot is back up and running, FreeTube finally works again, and there are two new Music Scene posts from the 2025 resolutions. The Mandy Murders one is an entire damned research paper complete with APA bibliography. There are also cute pictures of cacti and plenty of AntiRonnie snark from yours truly.

ice nine kills is being removed from the "like FIR with less nonsense" list because of associating with the Ronald on whatnot and also doing everything but music since 2021. that being said their early work (every trick and before) is still quite good and you should pirate it

Unfortunately, the website toolkit and LPTV episodes, among other things, are not recoverable because the SWFs just redirect to parts of the website that no longer exist and aren't archived. So if it's just a link, why bother with Flash at all? The native Quicktime videos I can convert to MP4, and I screenshotted the launcher UI. The AIM icons, I could just screen record their previews as GIFs, but that's not ideal.
IIRC from Neopets, AIM icons are 50*50, so I think the screen recorded previews were native resolution. Neopets was nice and uploaded theirs as images. Why can't you be more like Neopets?
