Aw thank you so much!! Loving the vibe and layout of yours so far, excited to keep exploring it :3
We're experiencing a severe drop in interest in critical thinking and media literacy. Its rly bleak and sad, but I have hope people will hit a wall with this and what it can actually do. Good for you for arguing, tbh, even though I'm sorry you had to! Its encouraging to see other people caring and voicing it.
Unfortunately, that's really the case nowadays. Social media is designed just so that users are getting used on having little attention span, believing news (rumors even) without checking out the sources, and most likely disseminating misinformation--Tiktok for instance is a plague, especially for the younger audience. Frankly I believe that with illiteracy, mass consumers are more prone to control.
Hence, the more power they have to abuse the algorithms, these Gen AI 'tools' even, the easier for them to control the users to spread false information, hate, and even being desensitized to humanity (especially for everyone's advancement). A lot of people don't even recognize the repurcussions voting solely for their pride, to prove to others that they're the 'winners' to the election, which is just utterly absurd.
