is this relatable. like I'm not a competitive person at all but when you lose in a game so many times its kinda frustrating? and then when youre grinding a game for so long and you actually win after losing so much it feels epic. like ill say "no big deal, its just a game" but in reality it kind of is a big deal. I'm fucking up mahjong and chess right now but once I win a game in 5 months it'll be so epic
I'm saying this ~9 hours before my next chess tournament and I screwed the last 2 up so badly but I actually might do good this time. I'm lying I haven't studied any theory I might suck LOL. I also picked up mahjong and shogi recently so that directed my attention away from chess. bleh.
Very much feel this in fighting games. And sometimes it literally doesn't matter if I am actively practicing the game, losing still stings even when nothing's at stake. Good luck with your tournament, but even if it goes poorly, I am sure you'll get something positive from the experience.

I get u so bad. Literally played drive world in Roblox and finally won a race after 1 year of grind. Good luck on ur tournament 🩷
I GET IT. especially when it’s the same person cooking you every time. it makes me angry more than it inspires me to do better
