any suggestions for an e-mail newsletter type service that isn't one of the heavily branded business-y ones? I've been searching for a while for something that has more of a low key scrappy old web feel.

if youre willing to put up with the pain of The Internet™ self hosted keila is "free" and probably good enough. if you have <500 sends/day and don't mind smoothbraining it i just copy an email col from a spreadsheet nowadays ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
