I am currently looking for fantasy books that have unusual protagonists - by that, I mean goblins/orcs/fantasy races that are usually the bad guys, or a character from a fantasy race that is usually a side kick or something. I am tired of the teenage protagonist (of both sexes), orphans who become wizards, sassy thieves, etc...
