I figured out how to get an animated cursor. It doesn't seem Chrome or other major browsers support .ani or .cur, at least I couldnt get it to work. I used this https://css-tricks.com/forums/topic/animated-cursor/

it really stings feeling that way but i like to remember there are a lot of quiet admirers out there... i hope it's not unwarranted to say i keep thinking about your art works and stories lately, and i'm always excited when you update your site, it's all sincerely aspirational in my and many others' eyes. i hope paradigms shift for you soon with love
