I remember this guy saying basically, he stopped shouting out smaller creators on youtube because 1). It would get them a bunch of attention on a sinuglar video but since people dont use the subscription page much it would fizzle out pretty quick 2). hobbyists would become overwhelmed with the attention and expectations and 3). it just doesn't work that well. I think the same is probably the case for small artists
No pays attention when I try to point to artists I like either. It's not just that I'm not popular, I think the majority of people simply dont gaf if you're not the one serving the slop. And honestly. Same.
All this to get to, I was thinking of adding a shout out section or something. But I feel like I need to do it in such a way that grabs people's attention. Thoughts?????
I made some changes to my review of the Dummy's Dummy, please tell me what you think. Is there anywhere I could improve? (besides grammar. I don't care.)
Right now I don't have many blog posts so it doesn't matter too much but eventually I am going to have to figure out a better way to store old entries. Ideas?
I mean, point 3 at least. When has "shouting out" ever been an effective form of support beyond a one time event?
