For the solid purple: I've only worked with this one skein but compared to Red heart (probably my most used acrylic) it's both denser and a lot less prone to splitting. pretty middle of the road on the softness/scratchiness scale. I've seen lighter colors of some acrylics look kind of "transparent" and didn't have that issue, either.
I really like your Pretty Purple Bear! How was working with the Big Twist yarn? I've heard people swear by it.
