so as a follow-up to the gallery thing - i've finished the infrastructure, now i gotta insert data for the 250+ images. with the amount of things i need to confirm and write, i can get out half an image per minute. this is gonna be fun.

the photos taken with the redmi 9 are especially cool because instead of exposure time being saved as a reasonable fraction, like 1/60s, the Redmi 9 saved it as e.g. 15001/500000s in the metadata. i am not joking

rewriting the site means rewriting the gallery means i have to choose a new set of photos meaning i now have 256 PHOTOS TO PROCESS

neocities has an API for like pushing updates.. and I had to manually add a bunch of new photos because the file sizes were too big ;-;

PSA: if you can, spend some time on looking through the dark and inaccessible corners of your room, just to check up on things. i happened to find a colony of black mould just chilling under my bed. don't really wanna be sleeping next to that huh. my room smells like chlorine now

oh yeah i'm completely fine! the mold wasn't being disturbed in any way so the spores didn't get into the air to begin with.
