what text / code editor do y'all use?

I’ve used Microsoft Frontpage and Expression Web to edit my site but there are many times when I just edit the raw code and take my chances. I will have to do that a lot more often if I want to make the code less of a mess.

brackets, it was just what my girlfriend recommended to me when first starting out coding my site, simple and has good live preview
