Glad to hear that you have something to look forward to, and more people to help with the energy/mood. I'm curious how the electric violins will fare within the ensemble!

Hello! I came here from browsing the 'violin' tag. I am intrigued already and wish you the best on revisiting the violin after so long. The Cricket looks really cool, is that a piece of fabric you customised to cover the chinrest?

Hi! It's nice to see other violinists on here! It was interesting to read your blogs, I hope you continue to find opportunities to share music with those around you. I've made a couple of chinrest covers for the Cricket because the chinrest and shoulder rest have sharp-ish edges, and it's a fun pop of color :)

Thank you! The covers are a nice touch of personalisation as well, you can even match them to your costumes if desired! I've wanted to make some esp for the electric because the chinrest is made of plastic and can hurt after a while. If I may ask you about the construction—did you make any closure for the covers or do you just slide them on, or drape them over?
