Platinum pens and Pelikan ink both run dry, so if you'd prefer for the pen to write with less pressure, you could try a wetter ink. Of course this isn't an issue if you like the way the pen writes now!
Ohhhhh shoot i didnt even think abt how the ink qualities could affect things. I always put the same ink into my Preppy so I just assumed it always wrote Like That
Yeah I initially didn't love the way my Platinums wrote until I put different ink into them. I've had luck with Diamine and Sailor inks in my Platinum pens - Sailor ink in particular tends to be a bit wetter because their pens also run dry. But Diamine is cheaper and plays just as nicely.
