Be prepared for groupthinkers to have literal tantrums when you tell them you don't have it. It seriously is ridiculous. People constantly give me not-so-subtle reminders that "i still have a discord server that would be awesome if you joined". Drives me nuts sometimes.
I'd been wanting to get rid of Discord for a while, but I had kept it in order to stream movies every week for some friends. I recently deleted my account after starting to use Mumble and Kosmi as substitutes for streaming movies and talking to them - thankfully, my friends weren't opposed to the swap, and the audio quality on Mumble has proven a lot nicer, alongside many other features.
I'm not sure if you're using Discord primarily for specific servers or if you have friends who refuse to use other platforms, and I'm not sure if you already use Mumble, but it is a really nice alternative!
