reading memoirs found in a bathtub.... oh I like it very much. it's so gaudy and confusing. mazes on mazes on mazes. . .
the self loathing is back. issue 2 was definitely the best one. there's no contest at all. how do I regress? there's only one way. I must proceed. I must concentrate my creative energy like I did then; into something that tells a story I really like in a nice and ominous way. I might start compromising "art quality" in exchange for better composition and storytelling. I think the comic sincerely needs it.
even if it ends up sucking at least it's genuine. i can always tell when artists leave a piece of themselves in their works and often it is preferable
I used to worry about this too but then realized every piece of media ever is derivative & inspired by another piece of media which was derivative & inspired by something else.
Girl H, the scary one, with long dark hair and an intense disposition, like a cool snake (>_<) Boy R, who plays music and is always sleeping. Boy B, "Friend -an "(like friend, (first part of name)an) who is the central nerd of the group, although that description likely fits all of us. Although it's probably temporary, it's fun to experience a traditional "friend group" like this!!
