Exactly a year ago today I started this website. It says on the profile it began a few months earlier but it mostly sat an empty about page to link on external social media. I started off with very little knowledge of HTML and none of CSS, the first proper version of this site was built on a Sadgrl template I very clumsily edited while not knowing what anything meant.

Nephro's comment made me check out the article and I would also like to comment and confirm that I am the same way with my fictional love. I very much engage with him through the lens of myself as my kintype - its so cool to see others who view it the same. I also went from the waifuism community to the selfshipping community because of the waifuism community being. Like that.

It’s nice to know others relate to it! I can’t get on your site to reference anything specifically right now but I will say your article on waifuism is what inspired me to write more about my own experiences with fictosexuality and with the related communities in my own article. Thank you for that, it’s always comforting to know there’s other people on Neocities who get where I’m coming from :)

ok sorry for double comment but your article on fictosexuality and how it can corelate to fictionkin is very ... you get it. you get it more than most people i know on either end at least. i knew my current 2d partner (the chief legal officer from corporate clash) as a specific kintype or two (the stenographer, possibly also the rainmaker) but not in like...a good way ? always dissapointed her <3

I'm really glad it resonated! I wrote it thinking it was a really 'out there' experience given that from what I've seen a lot of waifuists don't tend to be fictionkin and a lot of fictionkin don't tend to be waifuists, and the sliver where the two meet the experience still tends to be fully separate. So it is great to know someone else gets it :] I appreciate the comments

Over the past twelve months I wrote my first otherkin essay, or first non-assigned essay at all for that matter. I taught myself CSS at the start of this year and brought in the current design of the website. I shared my art properly for the first time. I created an archive for a social media app that means a lot to me, making my page the last bastion when it completely changed and almost shut down.
I’m trying not to make this too longwinded, it already made me split my little speech up because I write too much, but thanks to everyone who follows this site, everyone that’s contacted me over it, everyone that has my button on their page, and the people who just look at my page as a visitor. It’s been a really rewarding experience for me and something I am really proud of achieving 👍 here’s to another year.
