I was playing around with viewing my website on different desktop and mobile platforms, when I ran into an issue on firefox mobile specifically where my shaders simply wouldn't load in properly and I couldn't figure it out, especially because firefox is my preferred desktop browser so I thought it'd be 1-to-1. I was going through remote mobile debugging pulling my hair out when I finally found out the cause:
I was right in that it was pretty 1-to-1, and the code really was working just fine all along, it was the extention Darkviewer- I diabled it on my desktop for extraneous reasons, but had it on mobile. That was the difference and the key for why it was screwing up my shaders, since darkreader dynamically attempts to alter styling, but my page also dynamically alters styling, so my page and darkreader end up fighting.
