tiktok isn't actually getting banned. that was just a bit of propaganda for the trump administration so he could look like a hero, brokering a deal to save it.
more to that point, American tiktok is now doing a lot of censoring of search terms and even deleting videos that don't portray trump in the best possible light. so, some "elon buys twitter" action going on there.
