I've noticed a fair number of people tend to have some sort of "ENTER" page on the front of their blog. is this an aesthetic choice or is there a practical reason behind it that I'm missing? should I be doing this? π€

Not really? unless your telling the young users that your content is 18+ However its just a aesthetic design
Hmm I do swear a bit in my blog entries so I guess I need to put a warning *somewhere*. I just thought that maybe it was something done to combat scraping or something like that, idk. Though I'm not sure how that would have worked. π₯΄
I think it's just aesthetic choice though my immediate thoughts go to how, generally, you can't play sound on a webpage without user interaction first. Though, I don't think that's why people do it.
