should I not have the commit thing at the footer? (just to show that this site is indeed built from the repo) because this way, every page needs to be updated even if i add a single one, clogging up my own activity feed :/

the online midi player now uses GM.DLS so the midis sound closer to how you would play it on Windows :D
made the footer load the commit number from javascript-only so as to not to update too many files :(
