despite growing up catholic, i never felt compelled to believe in what i was told until i took theology courses in high school. theological studies taught me the beauty of religious thought! it's so different from other academic subjects. learning more about catholic theology made me want to understand other religions as well, so i've studied buddhist philosophy, jewish history, and hindu myth, among other things.
